In Adam’s own words:
“I’ve been growing my hair for the past 4 years (since I started working for SNH!) and have now reached my target of 1 foot (30cm) long. On 15th September I’ll be shaving off my blond curly locks and donating them to a very special children’s charity; The Little Princess Trust [LPT].
The LPT provides free real hair wigs to children and young people, up to 24 years old, who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other conditions.Wigs are made from free voluntary donations and from hand knitting and styling a bespoke wig, it costs the charity from £550 to provide a real-hair wig free-of-charge, to children and young people who need them.
They currently supply over 100 wigs every month!
The Little Princess Trust needs financial donations as well as hair donations, I’ll provide the hair if you support me with the money. Every penny that you can donate, really does count.
In addition to their free wig provision, any extra funding is spent on research into finding better treatments for childhood cancers, to support a variety of less toxic treatments reducing the risk of hair loss and other negative side effects during treatment.
