South West Scotland Environmental Information Centre are hoping to hold a workshop in recording wildlife online, and are looking to see if it is a viable course – are enough people interested in attending?

iRecord (http://www.brc.ac.uk/iRecord/) is the leading online wildlife recording website in the UK. It offers a great way for wildlife watchers to enter and share records of their wildlife sightings with local environmental records centres and national recording schemes and societies. Entering the world of online wildlife recording can be daunting, so South West Scotland Environmental Information Centre (SWSEIC) are planning to run a one-day course(s) to illustrate how the iRecord website (and the iRecord smartphone app) works and to guide people so that recorders can get the most out of it. No previous experience of using the site will be necessary.
