Not all bores are spectacular affairs! Some pass by with barely a ripple… *If you didn’t know it was due, and weren’t watching out for it, you probably wouldn’t notice.

We spotted a certain twinkle on the river on our way down to Glencaple the other day, and stopped to see if it was indeed the bore. The distant, distinct ‘roar’ gave it away, and we took a couple of videos, from different perspectives, from Conheath.

This is potentially the least noticeable bore, and quite amusing to post at all – but it does exemplify the nature of the beast (in this case a bit of a wee, sleekit, cowran, tim’rous beastie…)

*We have since experienced the tide coming in with no bore whatsoever – a full hour waiting and then an additional half hour spent ‘is it/ isn’t it-ing’!
