“Been going through some old boxes this week and found this photo in an album belonging to my Great Uncle Robbie ( Robert Waland)
Judging by where it was in the album it’s around 1910 I think?”

(Some discussion on our Facebook page suggests that it may be later – perhaps the 1920s – as the red shed didn’t go up on the Quay until then, and a question if this is a steam packet? Perhaps it  was the SS Northdale or the North Star).
