Many thanks to John Roberts who sent us a couple of old photos, with a couple of questions:

Can anyone date them?

The photo with the boy on the bicycle was a postcard, can anyone name him?

He tells us that “the arrow shows my grandmother’s (Elizabeth Robb nee Stott) cottage ‘Ettrick’, which she owned at the time of both photos” and ends,

“Hope you enjoy the photos and quiz!!“

We’re hoping that either John knows the answers and will let us know who guesses/ works it out right, or someone will be able to help John by giving him the answers!
