“We are looking forward to welcoming you all back to The Boathouse for food and drink in the coming weeks and wanted to let you know about some of the changes we will be making!

Following discussion with the Community Association we will be borrowing a section of grass in front of our deck and to the south side of The Boathouse to provide around eight to ten socially distanced tables at which to sit and enjoy the view.  This roped off area has been planned to ensure there is plenty of grass remaining for community use, including enough space to pass our tables in a socially distanced manner for those walking to the quay end via the south side.

We hope to have this outside area ready for the 16th of July, followed by our inside tables reopening in early August.  We will also be continuing to provide doorstep deliveries of good quality local produce, restaurant prepared ready meals, and themed weekend specials.

We are at present implementing our ‘COVID-safe’ plan which we will share on our website in due course.  Our marketing and social media is focused on the local community within Dumfries & Galloway – primarily Caerlaverock, Dumfries and the surrounding areas.  We are excited about welcoming our customers back, but we are taking a careful approach to a phased reopening.
