Here’s the latest Scoop from the School! Thank you to all our reporters :)

Comic Relief day by Keira P2 and Lucie P1

On Comic Relief day, P1/2/3 made up a play with a funny dance in it. P1 called their part in the play Boogie Bang Bang and they rocked it. P2/3 went together and they called their part Disco Dancing and Ayla was brilliant in it. We also made cupcakes and decorated them. Everybody took part in sponge the teacher. Mr Tennant and Miss Thomson got very wet. We all bought a red nose from the box. We made lots of money for Comic Relief – over £80.

Plastic in the Ocean by Keira P2 and Lucie P1

We’ve been making posters telling people about how to save the ocean and keep it clean.  The reason we need to do this is to save all the fish and animals and plants in the ocean.  We don’t use plastic bags now because too many were landing in the ocean.  We enjoyed learning about conservation in the ocean.

Play leaders by Keira, P2 and Lucie P1

P4-7 took us out to the courts every Monday morning to teach us lots of things. Hayley from active schools helped P4-7 teach us how to play games like “don’t touch the cones”; football dribbling and cactus tig where, if you are caught, you have to stand very still like a cactus. We hope that Hayley comes back next year to teach us more games.

Scotland in the Past by Keira P2 and Lucie P1

Scotland in the Past was our last topic. We each make a booklet with pictures and word searches all about Scotland. We learned about old things from Scotland like marbles and new things like bicycles and mobile phones. We all had a homework task to do on Scotland in the Past by interviewing someone from the past. My brother Struan interviewed my aunt and uncle. My uncle Andrew told him about the Atari 360 computer toy that he used to play with. It was very expensive. He liked to play chess and Star Wars. At school breaks he played football and the girls played hopscotch. My aunty Melanie told him that she used to wear a pink shell suit. Her favourite TV programmes were The A- Team and Supergran (by Keira)

I interviewed my daddy, Jonathan Grieve, and he told me he liked football, riding his bicycle, ACDC and Guns n Roses when he was little. His favourite song was “The only way is up” by Yazz. He liked to watch Postman Pat, He Man and Dangermouse on TV (by Lucie)
