Mr T from Caerlaverock Primary has been in touch, the children are taking part in a special competition, which will involve the community and the planned ‘Community Picnic’ on Saturday 4th June at The Barbour Hall at 12 -3pm.
They are having a ROYAL BAKE OFF! And are asking their children to design and make a ‘Jubilee themed’ biscuit or cake.
These will be brought to the Barbour Hall Community Picnic before 12 noon on Saturday 4th June, to be laid out on a special table and judged – (Judge to be announced!).
There will be Gold, Silver and Bronze medals awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place – and with the possibility of a prize in the offing, the competition might get hot in the kitchen.
Thank you Mr T! Good luck to all the bakers and we can’t wait to try out your creations.
(Please note that this is just a competition for the children, it’s not for any baking that you might be kindly bringing along to share at the Community Picnic yourself.)
