Thank you to everyone who has sent us photos of the flooding today! [12.3.2020]
Here are a select few:

Shifting tides…

Rona Carson – High tide at Kelton Bank – covering all the fences!

Glencaple Quay, sent by Lady Clare – ‘The Boathouse is a boat today’!!
[Does anyone know if the motorhomers stayed overnight/ got away safely today?]

These images, above and below are by Shona McKenzie who explains,
“The river at Glencaple just in front of the Nith Hotel. The river looks like it is heading back up to Dumfries. Take care everyone.”

and James Mclaren sent this photo of the Shore Road…

We have been very impressed by the quick response to the debris clearing along shore Rd,
Many thanks.

Thank you Nigel.
Have seen the flooding of the nith ,Hope your all ok in glen caple ..stay safe . Martin and janet manifold ,Liverpool
Martin and Janet,
We’ve been relatively lucky – the bridge at Bankend was closed and there were a couple of landslides there that closed the road too and lots of standing water on the shore road up to Dumfries. But no damage to property, unlike in Dumfries where the Whitesands businesses and houses are starting the clear up – again.
Thank you for asking!
Best wishes!
