All the latest from Caerlaverock Primary School!
(With apologies for delay in posting, Mr Tennant sent us this a while ago now!)
We had an after school club where we done lots of sports like different types of tag. My favourite thing was rock paper scissors shoot and we did the club for 4 weeks. I really enjoyed the teachers, they were really kind and fun.
I hope there will be other clubs like this in the future.

CAROL SINGING
The carol singing night was so much fun! We went to the Hutton Hall to sing in front of the senior citizens.
We sung Little Donkey, Santa clause is Coming to Town, 12 days of Christmas, Jingle Bells, Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer, Away in a Manger and We Wish you a Merry Christmas.
We had lots of senior citizens at the night. It was great fun for us and very fun for the senior citizens. Over all everyone had fun. We all had so much fun singing we can’t stop talking about it. At the end we all got bag of hero chocolates and they were so delicious – yay!!!

Children in Need
On children in need day we played loads of fun games. Our favourite part was decorating Pudsey bear biscuits made by our cook Mrs Mitchel. We also enjoyed the treasure hunt in our playground, it was loads of fun!
We raised £60 from our donations. We were raising money for children in the UK who need money for their needs and family.
The P1 -3 class did an assembly about what Children in Need is.
We also had 5 seconds to count how many Pudsey bears were on four sheets of paper. We also had to cut out pieces of paper and stick it to Pudsey bear.

Christmas Lunch
On the 13th of December there was a Christmas lunch. When we came in all the tables where sprinkled with glitter and Christmas crackers were laid on the tables.
After a small wait we got our food that consisted of mashed potatoes, roast potatoes, sausages, brussel sprouts, carrots and turkey. For pudding we had chocolate mousse with mandarins.
We all enjoyed it and we all want to say an enormous thank you to Mrs Mitchell and Mrs McKinnon for cooking our meal.

Our snowman drive Christmas night at the Barbour Hall was a huge success, and the school raised £556.92! This was mainly through the sales of our Christmas hampers and paying £1 for the privilege of playing a game of Stand-Up Bingo! There were also some Christmas games that the pupils made, for people to pay to have a shot with the chance to win a prize.
The event was well attended by members of the community, pupils and parents alike. Mrs. Mitchell’s soup was in high demand and the ladies from the church baked up a storm with their lovely Christmas delicacies! It was a great night had by all and plenty of hot chocolate, teas, coffees and juice had by all.
