Exemplifying the speed, power and sheer force of the tide, this bore video was taken at the time of the Solar Eclipse in 2015!

We had come out to view the eclipse, when we heard the familiar, distant roar of a train, nope – the bore! It coincided so perfectly with the eclipse – it was a truly special (if somewhat surreal) moment! 

Hopefully this shows how dangerous the river and tide can be, and will put anyone else off from trying to get a close-up video of the bore. Somewhat misjudged positioning, so please excuse the shoogily camera work and shouts from the upper shore as a hasty retreat was beat…
