Sue Greig is looking for contributions for a brand new fabulous fundraising Cookbook! (Her original cookbook can be viewed >>here<<)
Sue explains more below:

Some of you may remember that many years ago I put together a Caerlaverock Cookbook to raise money for the church.
20 years on I’d like to produce another cookbook – this time starring vegetables and fruit to try and raise a bit of money for our new allotment site.
The amount of produce that has been harvested from the allotments this year is truly amazing and I know we have all been freezing, preserving and cooking vast amounts of fruit and veg.  But we know we are not alone ….. loads of folk have been “growing their own” around Caerlaverock for years.
So the call is going out to everyone in the parish to send me your favourite recipe that uses vegetables and/or fruit that you have grown (or even bought). The recipes don’t necessarily have to be vegetarian but they do need to showcase a particular fruit or vegetable. Pasta sauces, chutneys, jams, risottos, burgers, pickles, stews, pies, tarts, puddings, dips, curries, soups ……….the list goes on and on. Contribute more than one recipe if you’d like though I can’t guarantee all will be included!  And maybe you could attach a short line about why you have chosen each recipe.
Send them to me at sue_greig@yahoo.co.uk before 17th October please and we might even manage to produce the book in time for Christmas.
Please spread the word through friends and family.
Look forward to hearing from you.
