We have been in communication with author Kevin Sene for a while now, as he had come across us (via our bore page) through his research into Tidal Bores for his recently published ebook, ‘Tidal Bores in England, Scotland and Wales’, featuring ten tidal bores – including the Nith Tidal Bore. 

Kevin’s ebook explains a general background on why, when and where bores occur – something we are regularly asked! It also has ideas for places to visit nearby each bore location, such as visitor attractions, nature reserves and sites with a maritime theme. He has previously published a book on the Mersey Estuary, with another dedicated to the Cumbrian coast available now.
