“This is a picture taken on 2nd Jan 1991 at Phyllis Creek.
You can clearly see lines of rocks and posts. They were covered over by accretion of mud, and erosion had exposed a rocky scar. Some decay but it was clearly visible to view.

This was part of an ancient fish trap. Woven into the posts were pieces of willow, these would be the leaders to some form of trap. I’d imagine it was well over 300 to 400 yrs old.
Since the photo was taken, it was all covered back again because of accretion, and no evidence showing now.”
