Thank you to Ashley Parke who wanted to alert people to an unpleasant issue at Phyllis’ Corner,

“Hello, not a very pleasant message but some lovely people have been abusing the facilities at Phylis’s corner again – this time it’s human faeces both by the lay-by and in the reeds just off the main path. People might want to avoid the area for a while – I’ll report it to the community safety team tomorrow to see if they can do anything.”

For your information, the Scottish Outdoor Access Code advice on what to do when nature calls and there’s not a public toilet nearby is to ‘carry a trowel and bury your faeces’ and ‘When you need to go to the toilet, do so well away from open water, rivers and streams’.
