We are very pleased to say that thanks to John Jamieson, who farms How Mains, and with the support of Caerlaverock Estate we now have the opportunity to offer allotments to the Caerlaverock community.

The headlines are as follows:

  • Site is in the field to the east side of Barbour Hall
  • Site will be manured and ploughed in March ready for cultivation
  • Allotment plots approx 100 sq yds – each will be pegged out
  • No charge in the first year
  • Initial agreement for one year after which subject to review
  • Overseen by an (as yet to be established) Allotment Association reporting to CCA
  • Barbour Hall Committee has kindly agreed that ‘allotmenters’ can use their car park

But before taking this any further forward we are inviting expressions of interest.

If you would like to take on an allotment then please let us know by Sunday 23 February 2020 so we can assess demand before the matter is considered at this month’s CCA meeting on 26th February.
