Following a recent question from Joan Greenslade on Facebook regarding problems with water-pressure, air in the system and spluttering pipes, which generated responses from other residents with issues including ‘muddy’ water, bad tasting and cloudy water as well as low pressure.

We were advised by Sheryl Thomson-Landreth of the Scottish Water’s Text Alert service. She had been notified by text message that Scottish Water had detected a burst pipe at Annan Road which was causing the low pressure and discoloured water and were ‘on the job’.

You may wish to sign up to this service (which might cost an initial text charge of 10 – 12p, though the alerts will be free of charge). See here, or follow the link below for all the details.

We have added it to our ‘Useful Info‘ page so it can be easily found in the future. Is there anything else you can think of that others’ might find useful (that we haven’t already included!)?

Thanks to both Joan and Sheryl for their input!
