Following concern from some Caerlaverock people (via our Facebook page), we contacted the Post Office to find out why our local branch (at the Barbour Hall in Glencaple) has been closed on several occasions over the last few weeks.
Here is their response:
Ref: CAS-2837234-F3R4V6
Thank you for contacting us about the Glencaple branch service that appears at the Barbour Memorial Hall.
I have spoken with the branch where the service is managed from to identify any issues they’ve been facing, they’ve advised that recently they did have to close on the usual days as there was an issue that was out of their control, however they will be back to running as normal this week and have apologised for the inconvenience the matter has brought. They will do their best to ensure that signs are implemented if this does arise again in future to avoid confusion.
If you need further help please feel free to get back in touch.
Please reply via customercare@postoffice.
