Ian Hamilton, long time resident of Glencaple died recently and his family donated £300 from the funeral collection to the Community Council. It was decided that this be spent on a nice wooden bench in his memory.
Local builder Willie Jackson fitted the concrete base for the seat. The seat is in view from where Ian used to sit in his sun porch looking down towards the quay.
