Mr Tennant and the children in his class at Caerlaverock Primary School (CPS) have come up with the brilliant idea for the children to update the Caerlaverock Community Association (CCA) website regularly with school news, keeping us all updated on a regular basis!
We warmly welcome this new way of connecting the school and local community through the CCA website!
They debated having a name for these updates, and have come up with the catchy title of the ‘CPS Scoop’!
We will create a special section of the home page on the website to draw readers directly to the Scoop, though we will continue to add the stories to the school section as well.

As well as news stories and reports of events and learning and other things that have been going on in school, we will get to find out about the ‘wider achievement’ of pupils (and staff?!) in the school – we will all celebrate in the sharing of
these ‘Proud Moments’!
This encompasses the Caerlaverock Primary School Aims beautifully:
- To take responsibility for our own learning
- To self-evaluate our own learning in order to celebrate our successes and find next steps
- To improve and use team work and co-operation, in school and out
- To be responsible and caring, in school and out
- To share our thinking and ideas with others
And perfectly demonstrates the School Values of Teamwork, Friendship, Independence, Self Belief and
We look forward to working with the CPS Scoop team and reading all about the life of Caerlaverock Primary School!
