Ian and Brenda Craik attended the recent fundraising concert at the Barbour Hall in Glencaple, and it reminded them that they have a song on CD written by family member Hamish Guerrini about the history of Glencaple!

Hamish wandered around the village, reading all the signs about village history then spent a few hours in The Nith Hotel asking folk questions and, we’re sure, enjoying a pint or two before sitting composing his song!

Malcolm Dunn helped Hamish record it for them. Hamish is a multi-talented man who writes personalised poetry for people, composes and sings and even writes and conducts exchanges of vows for couples. Find out more about him here.

We made up a wee slideshow of local scenes to accompany the song. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did!
