A wee update to remind everyone that Ferry Fish visit us in the Caerlaverock area every Thursday morning. Lets make sure David keep visiting us by buying our fish fresh from his van!

As the Ferry Fish leaflet advises, their aim is to “supply you with the freshest Scottish fish, hand-boned rather than machine filleted for a higher quality product”.

And it’s not just fish – David also brings potatoes, eggs and fresh, prepared game at this time of year – pheasant, venison, partridge and duck breast are some of the game he offers.

ferry-fish-4David comes via Kelton and arrives in Glencaple at the Quay (by the shop) at around 8.45am. He’ll wait there for about 5 minutes before travelling around all the village streets, honking his horn (you can tell he’s not a goose!) so you can’t miss him!

David told us that he was very pleased with the business from the motorhomes over the summer, and is keen to drum up more interest, especially in Bankend.

He leaves Glencaple for Bankend at around 9.45am, arriving there at 10am.
ferry-fish-2You can call David direct on 0778 990 2430 to arrange for him to visit your house, if you’re worried you might miss him, or to place a special order.

Fish pie for tea here tonight – do share any photos and recipes of your Ferry Fish dishes!
