We were delighted to watch the Vintage Motor Cycle Club of Great Britain yesterday morning heading off from Glencaple Quay, before they rode through Caerlaverock on their way towards the Annandale Distillery (a good flat route for the single speed bikes!).

We had no idea just how old the bikes were going to be – and also how ‘bicycle like’! Some of them even had leather chains… It was also amazing to see just how far some folk had travelled to take part (see below for more info).

Here is a wee video montage of them heading off, and below that, a breakdown of all the bikes taking part.

We’re awaiting some photo’s from other spectators to create a gallery of images – if you have any photos you’d like to include, please send them to us at caerlaverockcommunity@gmail.com

Many thanks!
