Guid Nychburris Football
On Friday 7th of June we went to Palmerston Arena for the Guid Nychburris football tournament. We took a mixed team of six which was Lochie, Mirran, Rachael, Ellie and Jamie and Mr. Walker was our coach. We did not win any matches but we all had fun but most of the teams liked to hurt us, by kicking the ball very, very hard! We did come first for last (which meant we came last!) . There were really good teams playing .We all liked the football because it was really fun and hopefully we might win next year if we go.

Mabie Farm Park Trip by Jodie P3
A couple of Thursdays ago the P1-3 class went to Mabie Farm Park for our end of term trip. It was so much fun and my favourite part was the hay barn when I fell in. It was so soft. Before I went I felt nervous because I thought that I might hurt myself but I did not. Bonnie and I went to see the goats and they were so cute. Then we played the 3 little pigs and me, Bonnie and Ayla were the pigs and Jak was the wolf. Sophie and I were on the monkey bars until Miss Cowan shouted on us to go to the gift shop. Mollie did not want to go to the gift shop because that meant we had to go on the bus back to school. When we got to school it was free time so we started to play, then before home time we played wink murder and when I looked at the clock it was 3 o’clock and I saw my mum waiting to pick me up.

Monday Lunch Club by Rachael P5
On a Monday during lunch intervals, Active Schools came in to do sports with us. We did all sorts of sports like football and rounders. John Alison put us in teams and for the first week we played rounders. During the second week we played football. I didn’t really like rounders but I loved the football. Hopefully he will come back next term and do more lunch time activities at Caerlaverock.

Summer Fun Day
On Saturday 9th June we had a fun day in the school playground. We had lots of activities such as coin toss, shoot the hoop, beat the goalie, face painting and glitter tattoos. My favourite was beat the goalie – I scored 4 goals!
We had a fun day because we needed to raise money for our new playground. It was a great day and we raised lots of money.

Summer Fun Day
On Saturday 9th of June we had a fun day at school. It was great fun! There was sponge the teacher, coin toss, lollipop pick and loads of other fun things to do. If you got thirsty or hungry there was milkshakes by Roan’s Dairy, and cakes and also hot dogs! If you wanted to you could get a face painted or a glitter tattoo. Everything had a cost because we were raising money for a new trim trail and playground. My favourite part about the fun day was the bottle toss because I won a bottle of diet coke at it. I absolutely loved the summer fun day and I hope everybody else loved it too.

TRIP TO STIRLING CASTLE BY SHONA-MAE, P4
The P4-7class went to Stirling castle on a school trip. We went in a coach with the Brownhall P4-7 class. The bus took almost 2 hours to get to Stirling. We split up with Brownhall once we arrived and explored the castle. We went into a tunnel and when we came out it was lunch time and we ate our packed lunches. After lunch we were taken on a guided tour of the castle. Our tour guide was a man pretending to be a knight and he took us all the way round the castle and into a class room. It was fun. Some of the children got to dress up. We also got told more about the Scottish Wars of Independence. It was a fun trip!
