Our Visit from the Caerlaverock National Nature Reserve
On Wednesday the 1st of March we had a visit from the National Nature Reserve (NNR). We had a lesson with Ellie. We got to learn what animal homes where called (e.g. a foxes home is called a den). We also got to have a look at Owl pellets (which is regurgitated bones, feathers and hair that they ate and got rid of) and got to see what was inside them. We found a full skeleton of a mouse and lots of different bones from small, tiny mammals. Last but not least we got to have a look at what we have caught on our camera trap. We all enjoyed the lesson and next week we are going to visit the Reserve to set up our camera trap for a couple of weeks.
