On the 22nd of March Katy, Georgie, Kaelyn, Rachael and Rhyanna took part in a cross country tournament.
They were split into age groups, p6/7 (They had to run for 1200m) and p4/5(They had to run for 800m). Our school was put into the small schools section.
The first race was the small schools p4/5 and we only had Rachael for that race but when she came back from the race she got 9th place. Then after that we had the p6/7 age group and Katy, Georgie, Kaelyn and Rhyanna were competing in that one. After the race had finished Katy got 1st, Georgie got 3rd, Kaelyn got 33rd and Rhyanna got 7th out of about 60 competitors.
At the end when they were handing out the medals it turned out that Katy, Georgie and Rhyanna got first for our school as the best three times combined! A great achievement for our school!

Netball for P.E.
For P.E we have been playing netball and learning about the positions. The P4-7 girls have been playing netball at Dumfries High School on Monday nights after school. They have been playing in a Dumfries High School cluster league and then they have an upcoming competition in May. We play fun 5’s although full netball is 7-aside. We have enjoyed it and it requires a lot of skill.
