Moth Night  – National Nature Reserve event

From the NNR:

A series of events will be run on the reserve throughout Caerlaverock NNR’s 60th Anniversary year.

Come along and join our reserve staff at the viewing area beside Castle Corner where they will be available to share their knowledge and show you the wide variety of moths. They will also teach you identification skills and methods to catch your own moths.

Directions: Caerlaverock NNR is on the north shore of the Solway Firth, South East of Dumfries.
From Dumfries, take the B725 south to Glencaple/ Bankend, following the east bank of the River Nith.
From Annan – Gretna, turn left along the A75 towards Clarencefield then right onto the B725 before Ruthwell.
The Hollands (by the Blackshaw) and Castle Corner car parks are sign-posted Caerlaverock National Nature Reserve. The car park at Castle Corner has a 2.1m height restriction barrier.
