This term our topic has been the BFG by Roald Dahl. Throughout this topic we have been learning how to write different types of poems, dipping in and out of the novel. We have also been doing some Roald Dahl based activities such as crosswords, Georges Marvellous Medicine Word Search and so on.
We have also made a reading cave in our school library. Inside there is a Snozzcumber and Trumpets board (Snakes and Ladders). When we finish reading a book we have to move our counter (a picture of our face) up to the number that we rolled.
We have also been texturing portraits of the BFG in art and design to give him colour rather than actually colouring them in. We have all found this topic fun and exciting and we been intrigued to find out more about Roald Dahl!
