A wee reminder about the consultation on the Caerlaverock National Nature Reserve management plan, which is running from 26th February 2016 to 8th April 2016… still time for you to have your say!

Caerlaverock National Nature Reserve (NNR) is an internationally important coastal site managed by Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH).

NNR are in the process of producing a new management plan for the reserve. They would like to hear the views of people with an interest in the future of Caerlaverock.

Screen Shot 2016-03-04 at 12.56.12There are limitations on what they can change in terms of managing the natural heritage as they are obliged to protect it. However there is scope for them to alter or do things differently in terms of how they manage the reserve for visitors and educational groups.

They welcome all ideas or comments on these aspects.

You can let then know what you think at the Management Plan at the Barbour Hall, Glencaple on the 26th of March. This drop in session will run between 10:30 and 16:30.

Alternatively you can let them know what you think via email.

Simultaneously they will welcome people at Castle Corner and take visitors for a short walk along the trail to discuss about their proposal for the reserve.
