Awww – just look at these wonderful fluffy barn owl chicks!
Many thanks to local, licensed bird ringer, Duncan Irving for sending us this fabulous photo of Barn Owl chicks taken by his colleague Steven Jackson. They were ringed on 16th June 2017.
Duncan tells us that last year, it was July before the young birds reached this size so there must be a good supply of voles in 2017!
Both adults were seen at the nest site, which is close to Caerlaverock Parish.
Its always good to hear good news!
