Adam Murphy, our Caerlaverock NNR Reserve Officer, has been in touch with a request – please circulate on the grapevine:
We have a SRUC (Scotland’s Rural University College) student placement staring with us, hopefully in mid June. Her name is Ellie and will be assisting us with all aspect of management at Caerlaverock, including visitor and community engagement and looking after the reserves nature heritage interest, to compliment her studies as part of her HNC Countryside and Environmental Management course. Ellie will be with the Caerlaverock NNR team for 1 year.
Ellie is looking for a room to rent in the area for this period, she is on a tight budget as well, so would have to be reasonably cheap. Ideally she would like to be in the town as she won’t have access to her own transport but it could be an option to live in the Caerlaverock district and I pick her up on my may to the reserve. Feel free to spread the word and I can pass on her details directly to anyone who is interested in taking in a lodger. to welcome her to the area.
