Thanks to Wendy Murray for prompting the question about the 6A bus route during the Bankend Road closure (especially in relation to the school bus).
We got in touch with Stage Coach, and got this quick response:
“The only way we can service most of this is from Glencaple to Bankend, reverse and then back to Glencaple. Round to Shearington via Caerlaverock Castle and then reverse at Blackshaw Road End and back to Glencaple then Dumfries.
Unfortunately it will not be possible to service the bit from Blackshaw Road End to Bankend.”
Hope this clarifies things for next Monday and Tuesday (between 8.30am and 5pm when the road will be closed) so you can make alternative arrangements if needed.
Thanks again Wendy!
