Thank you to Sue Rob for sending us her photo [above] of the Tall Ship La Malouine on 17th May 2018 when she left on the afternoon’s high tide. We missed her go, so this was lovely to see. (With apologies for delay in posting, ours, not Sue’s!).
And thanks alos to Tom Brown who has just sent us his photo to include!

Tom writes, ‘“La Malouine” leaving in Friday’s Flood tide heading to Isle of Whithorn before going the the Isle of Mann.’
There are some wonderful ship tracking apps and webpages available – we loved the photos of La Malouine on this one:
Here’s the message we sent to La Malouine on Facebook:
‘It’s been lovely having you here Tall Ship La Malouine, enjoy your next adventures, and we look forward to welcoming you back later in the year!
We took this photo of her at Glencaple Quay End as the sun went down yesterday evening…
Bon voyage.’

‘Well tomorrow sees the Tall Ship going off on her travels. She will be going to Isle of Man first then Liverpool,Dublin, Bangor, Bordeaux, Portaferry Derry, then back to the Nith for the Nith Raid then Stranraer, Newry then off to Glasgow for the Castle to Crane I am sure that I will have missed some places but she will be back in October I can only wish her good winds and happy sailing.’
