Caerlaverock Estate is pleased to announce that Alanna Rogerson will be the head chef and manager of The Boathouse on Glencaple Quay, which is due to open in April.
Alanna says, “The Boathouse sits in a wonderful position on the Nith, within the close knit and friendly community of Glencaple. My aim is to ensure that it is a great asset to the village and wider community with the kitchen providing tasty home baking and seasonal dishes in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere and the shop stocking a variety of essentials and local produce. I am looking forward to the new challenge and to developing strong ties with the community.” Alongside her appointment at The Boathouse, Alanna will continue to run her own catering business, Hullabaloo to You, which is based at Kingholm Quay.
