Opening Times
The cafe is open from 10am to 4pm Tuesday to Sunday.
The shop is open from 8am Tuesday to Sunday
and from 8am to 12pm on Mondays.
Evening Opening will be on
Thursday, Friday and Saturdays
from 5.30pm (latest reservation 8.30pm)
from Thursday 20th September 2018.

Officially open!
The Boathouse officially opened by HRH Princess Alexandra on Saturday 14th April 2018 following extensive renovations after the devastating fire in September 2016.
Open for brunch, lovely lunches and evening meals as well as a super selection of coffees and teas all taken from the wonderful variety on the menu (many options available – including vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options). The coffee got the CCA thumbs up from day one!
Take away options are also available – 20p off for using your own cup, the takeaway cups are also 100% compostable.
The Boathouse Shop
The shop is open to serve the community and visitors from 8am to 4pm daily (8am to 12pm Mondays) and is well stocked with a range of local produce, yummy nibbles, eco-friendly selection of household goods and other grocery items. The Boathouse are open to suggestions if there’s something you’d like to see (they’ve already responded to requests for firelighters and Cheesy XL crisps!). There is also a lovely gift shop area, snug, (boat) booth and book swap area. And the toilets are a ‘must see’!

Official statement from Caerlaverock Estate – “Following the devastating fire at Caerlaverock Tea Room and Shop in Glencaple last September, works are well underway to bring an exciting new venture to Glencaple. It is now five months to go until The Boathouse opens on Saturday 14 April 2018, with bistro style restaurant, snug and shop. Watch this space! We will be recruiting from February.
