Linda nextdoor had a great idea – how about a post of pets?
She suggested that there will be some great photos – especially of dogs out on their local walks!
If you would like your pet featured – perhaps you have a goldfish with personality, a houdini hamster or a charming chameleon, find the details at the bottom of the page.
To get the ball rolling, here is a photo of Linda’s cat Mia – “The bundle of mischief that is Mia from Glencaple”!

And here is our very own Rosie!
We adopted her from the Canine Rescue just along the road, about a year ago. She is a saluki cross and we decided that it was her 3rd birthday last Saturday!
She is a lovely friendly girl, but can sometimes be ‘reactive’ to other dogs – this means she can sometimes bark (out of fear/ excitement or frustration – she’s not allowed off her lead and finds it difficult to stay calm when there’s dogs running around off lead). All her good training at these moments is lost and it is certainly ‘character building’ as her owners!
She is a bit of a houdini – the ‘funniest’ thing she has done is to try leaping out of the upstairs bathroom window… perhaps to ‘say hello’ to Mia nextdoor?!
She is undoubtedly the most patient, clever, gentle, funny, sweet natured and beautiful dog we have ever known.
And also the fastest zoomer!

There are lots of lovely dogs waiting for a home to call their own at Glencaple Canine Rescue – have a look at their website here: www.caninerescue.co.uk/dogs/adopt-a-dog/
…Here’s Paul Kirkland’s ‘Camera Shy’ cat! (shared via Facebook – thanks Paul!)

Douglas Anderson emailed his beautiful photo, ‘My old lab Molly up the quay hill one frosty morning last week’.
