It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lady Herries Of Terregles, affectionately known to us all as Lady Mary.
She passed away peacefully at her home in Sussex on Friday, 7th of April 2017.
Lady Mary was not only an admired landowner of Caerlaverock and greatly respected figurehead in the community, but also a true custodian of both land and people. She often referred to the people that worked & lived on the Estate as her “Caerlaverock Family”.
She truly loved her home in Scotland.
There will be a service of thanksgiving at 2:30pm, Monday 14th of August 2017, in the Arundel Cathedral.
A thanksgiving service will also be held in Scotland on a date to be announced. No flowers please.
Donations may be made in Mary’s memory to Canine Partners or Guide Dogs through the estate office.
