We learned in music all the different types of families there are in an orchestra like the string family and woodwind family. There is a lot more orchestra instruments for us to learn, so I’m going to tell you some that we have already learned. In the string family there is a violin, the violin is the highest pitched string instrument. The viola is the second highest pitch and then there is the cello which is the second lowest pitch. The double bass is the lowest pitch of the string family. Now I’m going to tell you all of the woodwind family – piccolo is one of the woodwind family and it is one of the highest, then there is also the flute which is the second highest of the woodwind family. Then there is the oboe which is the next highest, then the English horn, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Bassoon and the lowest of them all is the Contra Bassoon and that is all the things we learned from Mr Dewar-Riddick.
