Mr Walker (an outdoor learning specialist) came in and taught us about how an infrared camera works to help us with our camera trapping project. In case you did not know we are in a competition and we have to catch lots of interesting animals on film and edit all of it together to create a short video.

During the lesson, we even pretended to be the camera itself! Joshua was the animal; we had to say whether it was day or night, if it was moving and then start the video. We even learned about ultra violet light: the secret last colour of the rainbow!

We also learned about how light reflects and we even completed a quiz on light. Mr Walker brought an infrared camera in and we could see everything in infrared (even Mr. Tennant – which showed all his hot and cold spots!).
