Glencaple’s “can do” mind-set was again in evidence this morning when Storm Barbara dumped a load of rain on the village, causing flooding near the bridge and up the Quay Hill.
Douglas Anderson and Chris Jackson grabbed brooms and shovels and cleared the drains of leaves and other debris, allowing the floodwater to escape (see photo above).
