The popular D&G Canine Rescue photographic competition is now running every month rather than once a year. This means the (2018) calendar can feature suitably seasonal photos throughout. See the new, mobile-friendly website at www.caninerescue.co.uk or @dgcaninerescue on Facebook for more information. Photos will also be considered for use on next year’s Christmas cards.
Please email your entry to fiona.clarkson@caninerescue.co.uk
All entries received will be acknowledged. Winners will be notified when the calendars and cards are being put together in July. Entry £2 per photo, payable by cheque to the centre or by Paypal on the website (or over the phone to 01387 770242). File sizes need to be at least 1mb.
We have started a programme of off-site walks and socialising for our longer-term dogs with staff and experienced volunteers so local people might see us out and about at Castle Wood or Dock Park in Dumfries. The main picture shows Heidi enjoying one of these outings.
Other news: ‘Open for Tours’ afternoons at the kennels are now on the last Sunday of the month, from 1-3pm.
