Congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs Westbury from Glasgow who got married today at Gretna before spending the day at Caerlaverock Castle and the Crichton gardens. They are looking forward to their first meal together as husband and wife at the Nith Hotel, and settling into their motorhome (as yet unnamed) for their honeymoon night at Glencaple Quay!
They have been together for 14 years, and decided to ‘elope’ to Gretna for their wedding. Having initially saved up for a Seychelles honeymoon, they decided to spend their honeymoon at Glencaple instead, after driving past a few months ago, and falling in love with the view!
We gave them a warm ‘Caerlaverock Congratulations’, before leaving them to open another bottle of champagne! A perfect evening for a honeymoon at the Auld Quay!
