We’ve taken delivery of sets of litterpickers, Hi-Vis vests (adult and child sizes), strong bags and gloves, thanks to D&G Council for supplying them.  (The Council will also arrange to pick up any any full bags once done too.)

At this time of year with the verges low, it’s easy to spot litter on the roads around the Parish. Despite the regular efforts of some locals to keep certain spots tidy, there’s a lot more of it around – and this post is designed to gather a list of names of those interested in a litterpick effort, date to be decided (on a sunny day, preferably)

Obviously this means walking on the roads, even with hi vis vests provided, so it’s something that would be done at your own risk, but if you would like to help, please register interest on caerlaverockcommunity@gmail.com.

Or if you fancied going out yourself with a litterpicking set anytime you like, just message us by email and we can provide you with as many sets as you need. (We have limited space to store them, so please do ask :)
