A member of the community has been in touch following a near miss collision with the 6A bus on Saturday, ending up in the verge to avoid it. The bus was travelling ‘at a very fast speed’ with one front wheel ‘completely over the white line’. This was on the B725 road between Glencaple and Dumfries. If they had been driving like the bus, there would have been a very different outcome…
The car driver wants to alert others to the procedure for forwarding any concerns about how buses are driven, whether as a passenger or other road user, so that this doesn’t happen again – or worse. They have received an apology and reassurances of action being taken in the meantime to ensure the drivers are ‘aware of the standards of driving needed for the nature of the road’.

I dont know how you can sit in your garden and watch it and not get annoyed!!
Maybe if we had more little signs – eg “you never know what is round the corner? :) ” might not make a dent in that behaviour (pun unintended… malc
