With thanks to Beryl Walker for her persistence in asking for improvements, after her granddaughter hurt herself on the play-park fencing in Glencaple, we have just received this email from Community Assets Officer, Peter Clingan at Dumfries and Galloway Council: 

“Thank you for your correspondence regarding the dangers of the existing fence at Glencaple Play park.
We agree that this is much need of repair and after fully inspecting it we will replace the front fence completely.
We are at present sourcing the correct type of replacement and will have this replaced by the end of September.
We apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.”
