With many thanks to Gail Stewart for updating us:

Good news for Tom the cat! I received a phone call last night, following help from Cats Protection Dumfries, from a gentleman in Dumfries who is happy to provide a home for Tom. He has had timid cats previously so knows what he is taking on, and can offer the quiet, knowledgeable home that Tom needs. Thank you to everyone who asked around and shared posts for Tom. (We just have to catch him now!!!)

New home URGENTLY needed. Tom’s owner is seriously ill and can no longer look after him. He is a very timid cat who has only ever known his owner. He has never been outside, though he may eventually be able to do this. He needs a quiet home, with a very patient person who understands that it will take time for him to form a bond. He is a challenge but we are holding out hope that someone may give him a chance. It is an urgent situation. He is neutered and chipped. Please contact Gail on 07840621977 if you can help.
