We’re know that it is completely heavenly to have jam and cheese together on a sandwich – but some odd people disagree. (Very odd.)

This morning our breakfast consisted of two cheese scones from The Boathouse, brought home and toasted with some interesting new cheeses. Topped off with strawberry jam – heavenly!

Anyway, the interesting new cheeses are from David and Wilma Finlay, of Cream O’Galloway’s Rainton Farm at Gatehouse of Fleet. They are taking a ethical approach to dairy production, which you can read more about here on this BBC article. We had the Fleet Valley Blue which was tangy yet smooth. Yum.
