Jean O’Toole has sent an update about her petition to reduce the speed limit in Glencaple:

‘Out canvassing for signatures today regarding our ongoing campaign for speed limit reduction. – 20 mph & other speed reducing measures. Great response! Thank you again to all who have signed so far.
Grave concerns from the people living on the Shore Road entrance. Parent’s, Grandparents, family & literally all Community members are experiencing vastly overly fast moving traffic here. As well as on our School Road. I’m sure we all agree, this is unacceptable.
The Boathouse & the Nith Hotel, with concern have accepted a paper petition for local signatures, please feel free to sign or to mention our petition to friends & members of the Caerlaverock Community, (Kelton, Glencaple, Bankend & surrounding Estate / Parish area).
Many thanks for your support folks. We will be out again in & around Glencaple for the next week.

“Watch oot the clip board’s aboot!” ‘
