We were warmly welcomed into Caerlaverock Primary School in Glencaple this afternoon to see how we can help to promote this fabulous school with its fantastic facilities, equipment and resources.

We thought you’d like to see a couple of old photos from 1979 (when Caerlaverock Primary School was built). This was when Hutton Hall School in Bankend

[below] and Glencaple School [above] were merged to form Caerlaverock Primary School. They take pride of place near the school entrance.

Can you spot any familiar faces?

Edit to add:

…And through the power of Facebook, here is the first photograph taken of the brand new p1 and 2 class taken at the new Caerlaverock Primary School, in 1979! The beady eyed amongst you will spot the old schools’ photos on the walls – where they are positioned to this day!
